    • Costumes: Other than 2 classes, every dancer has been sent home with their costume and should bring it along with any accessories necessary to the theater for dress rehearsal and recital day.

    • Creative Movement Families: Creative Movement will dance first in our recital “pre show” and after they perform, I will call each of them onstage to take a bow and then they will go to the audience to sit with families either in a seat or on a lap for the remainder of the show.

  • Buy your tickets ahead of time - Remember, you must buy tickets ahead of time. We have 4 ticket prices to fit everyone’s budget and you can pick where you would like to sit. Tickets will be on sale April 25th.

  • Performer Search - To make sure you are purchasing tickets for the correct show, simply type your dancers first and last name and then click “find performer” on the ticket website. It will highlight the show(s) your dancer is performing so you can purchase the correct show(s).

  • Flower bouquets - You can buy a flower bouquet for your dancer online when you purchase tickets and pick it up the day of the show. We will also have single roses and a select number of bouquets at the theater for sale! Flowers are a great way to congratulate your dancer and make them feel special.

  • Concessions - Come hungry! We will have concessions on sale in the lobby before, during intermission, and after each show. We will have delicious home-made treats and more that are always a big hit. We will also be having another raffle and you can purchase tickets for the raffles at the concession stand before the show begins, so plan to come early and check it out! Proceeds from the concession stand support Avoda Dance Company’s 2026-2027 season.

Avoda Dance Company Audition #2

Audition #2 for Avoda Dance Company. This audition is for beginner and intermediate level dancers who are interested in turning up the dial on their training this year. This 2 hour audition will be split into 2 sections. It will be split by age after we have a complete list of all the ages that are signed up.

Dancers should wear:

  • Solid color leotard

  • Pink tights (no holes or runs)

  • Pink flat shoes (no holes)

  • Black jazz shoes (if you have them)

  • Hair in a neat ballet bun

  • No jewlelry

More about AVODA:

Avoda Dance Company performs two full length productions per season, in addition to multiple other performance opportunities. Beginner and intermediate dancers who are accepted into the lower levels of the company will be eligible for the following opportunities:

  • Performing in the winter Avoda Dance Company show

  • Some dancers (Apprentice and Junior Company) will be given the chance to perform in the spring Avoda Dance Company show

  • All Avoda Dance Company dancers will perform in the end-of-season showcase at the end of each May/early June.

  • All Avoda Dance Company dancers will be a part of the Lilburn Christmas parade annually.

  • Avoda Dance Company dancers will get to compete at one regional dance competition per year, with optional add-on competitions and add-on opportunities to compete solos.

Audition #2 is targeted towards dancers beginner-intermediate, age 6+. The dancers will be eligible to be placed in the following Avoda levels:

  • Mini Company (our youngest—and possibly cutest—dancers!)

  • Junior Company (dancers with some intermediate experience, typically 8 years-old or older)

  • Apprentice Company (formerly known as our “pre company” group and “eleve” team)

Avoda Dance Company Audition #1

Audition #1 for Avoda Dance Company. This audition is for advanced dancers only, who either have recommendation to audition by an EPSD instructor, or have met the following requirements:

  • Can do 10 releves in center en pointe

  • Can do a single pirouette en dehors on both legs en pointe

  • Can do pique turns across the floor on both legs en pointe

Dancers should wear:

  • Solid color leotard

  • Pink tights (no holes or runs)

  • Pink flat shoes (no holes)

  • Pink pointe shoes

  • Hair in a neat ballet bun

  • No jewlelry

Dancers in this audition will be auditioning for our highest level of training and performing at En Pointe School of Dance. They are expected to be committed individuals who are ready to step up as leaders in the school. Dancers who take part in this audition will be auditioning for the following positions of the company:

  • Principal dancers (formerly known as our “senior company” level)

  • Soloist dancers (formerly known as our “junior company” level)

  • Corps de Ballet (pronounced “core-de-ballet”) (formerly known as our “apprentice” level)

  • Jazz

  • Tap

  • Classical Ballet Variations (Required if you wish to compete at ballet competitions)
