Jessie Kaplan began dancing at the age of three. In high school she spent her days and nights dancing between Pebblebrook High School’s Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts and Roswell Dance Theater. After High School she continued her education at Point Park University. While in school she had many opportunities including dancing with Texture Contemporary Ballet and performing in Jazz Dance World Congress. After college Jessie took an amazing opportunity to preform and travel the world with Royal Caribbean Productions. She completed four contracts with this wonderful company .Jessie is excited to currently be teaching through out the Atlanta area Ballet, Jazz and Modern!
Melinda Cassiday grew up in the small town of Maysville, Georgia. She began her dance training through ballet classes at the age of thirteen and from there her interest and love for the art grew. She attended Brenau University on a talent based and academic scholarship and graduated with a B.A. in Dance Studies and a minor in Small Business Management in 2017. While a student at Brenau, she developed a great love for teaching and for choreographing. She has created several choreographic works, one piece being selected to be adjudicated at the American College Dance Association Southeast conference in March of 2017. Melinda was involved in several works set by a variety of well-known choreographers including: Charlotte Boye-Christensen, Carl Flink, and Merce Cunningham (set by Carol Teitalbaum). The summer before her senior year, Melinda traveled to Sorrento, Italy to study at the Staibdance summer intensive for two weeks on a partial scholarship. While there, she learned and performed repertory from George Staib's Moat. Melinda enjoys performing in spaces other than the stage and has had a lot of experience doing so, some of her favorites being: art galleries, the Atlanta Botanical Gardens in Gainesville, and the streets of Italy. Melinda is passionate about dance, art, and learning and she strives to instill that mindset in her students while giving them the tools they need to become confident individuals.
